Time to make a change

Updated: Sep 6, 2018

Are you ready to change old habits? It can take time to establish and will power to decide to do it. I read online that it can take 2 months before a new behaviour becomes automatic.

The first day requires a mindset to remind yourself all day not to give in to cravings as you are on the start of a new journey.

It took a few years to change from hiding behind people to happily showing off my 100 squats!

Its not an easy journey as you are essentially on your own, locked inside your own mind and body making your own choices on what will affect you later, down the road. There are no instant fixes or instant results. Its all a decision made now, to affect your outcome in a few days, weeks, months and years down the road.

Finding support from groups online, or being a member of a diet club helps. Finding others in the same journey will give you the mental support you need for encouragement.

But it starts today. Right now. Never mind what you just ate a few minutes ago, and don't say I'll start tomorrow or on Monday. The past is finished, and the change starts now.

Even after I reached a healthy weight, it continues to be a struggle not to slip back into old habits. I'm still on the lifelong journey to make the right healthy decisions and not give up. I'm in it with you! Let's do it!
