Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups; healthy, rich and creamy, organic, no sugar, no dairy, organic

The recipe as shown, worked out to about 128 calories for each Peanut butter cup. They will fill you with real food goodness.

One of almost everyone's favourite chocolate treats are peanut butter cups. But, once you have tasted these real cocoa and real peanut butter treats sweetened with raw organic honey, you won't want to go back to the factory made ones. And knowing they are made from real ingredients beneficial to your body, It's all guilt free! Just make sure it fits in your daily calorie allowance.

The amazing part of this delicious, mood hightening and endorphin spiking mini cup of sweetness is that it is made of only ingredients that have amazing benefits to your body. Coconut oil is recommended for good heart health; cocoa has antioxidants, magnesium and other beneficial nutrients; organic raw honey has phytonutrients with antioxidant and anti-inflammatory benefits as well as local honey helps build immunity to allergies; Pink Himalayan sea salt adds trace elements beneficial to your body; Natural vanilla extract contains antioxidants to protect your body from free radicals and toxins. Mix all these up and you have a healthy treat that is totally guilt free while you indulge your taste buds.


To start, line 24 mini muffin tins with mini muffin paper cups.


I used 2 X 12-cup mini muffin tins


The Ingredients are divided into 2 parts. For the chocolate coating and the peanut butter filling.



The simple and organic chocolate coating ingredients

Chocolate Coating Ingredients:


- 3/4 cup organic coconut oil

- 6 tbsp organic unsweetened cocoa powder

- 3 tbsp raw organic local honey

- 1 1/2 tsp organic vanilla

- 2 pinches of pink Himalayan sea salt


It a heat proof container, like this Pyrex measuring cup, place all the chocolate coating ingredients as listed above.


Place the coconut oil, cocoa, honey, vanilla and sea salt in the heat-proof container

Then stir them well.


Stir the chocolate coating ingredients with a whisk or fork.

Then place the chocolate mixture into the microwave.


Microwave on hgh for 30 seconds.

After microwaving the chocolate mixture on high setting, for 30 seconds, take it out and stir again.


Let the mixture cool for 15 minutes then begin to scoop out 1 tsp at a time into the mini muffin paper cups.


Pour a tsp of melted chocolate mixture into the mini cups to create the chocolate bottom.

Once the cups all have a chocolate bottom, set the rest of the chocolate mixture aside to use later.



The mini cups have 1 tsp of chocolate for the bottom of the peanut butter cups.

Place the muffin tins in the fridge to let the chocolate harden. In the mean time, assemble the ingredients for the peanut butter cup filling.



Four simple organic ingredients for the peanut butter cup filling.

Peanut Butter Filling Ingredients:


- 3/4 cup smooth organic natural peanut butter

- 2 tbsp organic local raw honey

- 1 tbsp organic coconut oil

- 1 tsp organic vanilla


Place all the peanut butter filling ingredients in a heat-proof bowl. Like a ceramic dish.


Stir all the peanut butter filling ingredients with a whisk or fork.

When well combined, the place the bowl in the microwave on the high setting for 30 seconds.



After microwaviing for 30 seconds on high, take out and stir again.

Let the peanut butter mixture cool for 15 minutes. Then take the cooled chocolate cups out of the fridge.



Scoop about 1/2 tbsp peanutbutter butter filling into each cup.

Place the peanut butter filling on top of the cooled chocolate bottom, evenly amongst the 24 cups.


Once all the cups have a scoop of about 1/2 tbsp of peanut butter filling, let the peanut butter cool for about 15 minutes. Then get the left over chocolate sauce.



Cover the peanut butter filling with the left over chocolate sauce.

Evenly distribute the rest of the chocolate sauce over all 24 peanut butter cups, covering the peanut butter filling. Then place the muffin tins back into the fridge to cool and harden.


When they have hardened, you can remove the peanut butter cups from the tins and store in a covered container, until ready to serve.

These delicious and creamy and naturally sweet peanut butter cups can be popped into your mouth as is, or can be used as a garnish on top of some vegan peanut butter and banana soft serve ice cream.
