Home-made Organic Sesame Seed Tahini - 3 ingredients

Sesame seeds are tiny but if you research their health benefits you will find they have complex B vitamins good for your hair, skin and eyes.

The sesame seed also has minerals such as copper, magnesium and calcium. They provide fibre and protein.

Blended with a couple spoons of olive oil which is rich in healthy monounsaturated fats, antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties to produce a healthy Tahini to use in your recipes.

Sea salt is unprocessed and contains minerals such as calcium, potassium, iron and zinc to act as electrolytes in the body.

That's all the 3 ingredients needed for this recipe:

- 2 cups organic raw sesame seeds

- 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

- a dash of Pink Himalayan sea salt

These body healthy ingredients combined make this wonderful thick nut butter, better than store bought and less expensive than the ones found in health food stores.

Begin by adding the 2 cups of sesame seeds into the food processor. Process it for several minutes until the seeds start to clump together.

Stop the processor, and add the 2 tbsp of olive oil to the sesame seeds, then process it a few minutes more.

When the Tahini starts to look creamy, add a few dashes of Pink Himalayan Sea Salt and process it together a few minutes more.

The result will be a thick and creamy Tahini made of mostly sesame seeds.

You can store it in a covered container in your fridge until you are ready to use it for your recipes.

One cup of this recipe works out to 969 calories, or 60.5 calories per tbsp. (Compared to 90 - 100 cal per tbsp for oily store bought Tahini.)
