Stay Active all day long

This is one in a series of tips on how to get to or get closer to, your goal weight, and then to continue to maintain it. Basically, the "diet" isn't over once you reach a comfortable weight range. If you slide back to old habits, then the scale starts to creep back up again.


One tip is to keep your metabolism active by remaining active all day long. If you have a sedentary desk job, like sitting at a computer, make a note of moving every 15 minutes. Run on the spot or walk around the office or the house or get outside if you can for a quick set of squats or something. Jog on your lunch hour. Brisk walking is good too.


Set your alarm to remind you or else next thing you know an hour or more has gone by and you haven't moved.



Get outside and do a set of squats to get the heart rate going.
